Oaks Montessori provides a beautiful, peaceful environment where children can learn and develop at their own pace. Children are encouraged to be independent and self motivated within a curriculum that is vibrant, broad and holistic, incorporating a balance of indoor and outdoor learning and a strong emphasis on respect for each other and all living things.

Montessori for children aged 3 - 12 years old
Montessori is a child centred, holistic education philosophy. It views the child as one who is naturally eager for knowledge and capable of initiating learning in a supportive, thoughtfully prepared environment. Children learn at their own pace, from real objects and the outdoors, growing into capable people who have a strong sense of self and the ability to connect and collaborate with others and the planet.

Through her observations Montessori recognised that all children learn most effectively through doing. With this in mind she created specially designed equipment and resources to foster independence and facilitate that inbuilt desire in every child to learn and explore.

​Oaks Montessori has a Children's House class for children aged 3 - 6, a Lower Elementary class for children aged 6 - 9 and an Upper Elementary class for ages 9 - 12. Our class sizes are small and all of our teachers are totally committed to providing an excellent level of care and education based on the teaching philosophy of Maria Montessori.
In the future Oaks would like to open a 12 - 16 environment.
